We can’t wait for Dumplin’ already and now even more. It’s one of our favorite books and we are loving the casting so far. But yesterday we got even better news with more casting.
This movie is going to be fantastic.
The adaptation just added six new cast members: Luke Benward (Still The King), Dove Cameron (Liv and Maddie), Bex Taylor-Klaus (Arrow), Maddie Baillio (Hairspray Live!), Georgie Flores (Famous In Love), and Ginger Minj (RuPaul’s Drag Race).
WE ARE STOKED!
A lot of these young actors, we have followed their careers forever. Seeing them in this adaptation is going to be amazing.
We suspected that something was up when Georgie posted this on her Instagram story.
Julie Murphy confirmed via Twitter that Luke Benward will play Willowdean’s crush, Bo, and Ginger Minj is on board as Millie. We’re about it.
Production has begun in Atlanta.
If you haven’t read Dumplin’ you should pick it up ASAP.
