There have been a few people that have defined reading for me. They are Jenny Han and Sarah Dessen. My love for their books knows no bounds. I would give anything to have The Summer I Turned Pretty series turned into a movie. I couldn’t even start with the books of Sarah Dessen’s that I would want to see.
But when I can’t think of what I want, Netflix slides into my Twitter feed and reminds me of what I need. This Lullaby and Once and For All have been picked up by Netflix, as well as Along for the Ride. My ever loving contemporary fiction heart can’t get enough. I jumped for joy, filled with happiness.
Let me be real here – I don’t have a lot of faith in most adaptations. I am afraid of people destroying the things that I love. But the reality is that I have faith in Netflix, because they have really made some great movies lately. Especially YA adaptations like Dumplin’, The Kissing Booth and To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before.
Anyone else excited for the possibility of movies from Sarah Dessen stories?
