I mean, reboots. I’m over them.
I will be very honest with you, after the Boy Meets World reboot, I have little to no faith in reboots of any show that I loved as a child. So, yes, I am hesitant for the reboot of Saved by the Bell.
Mark-Paul Gosselaar has been confirmed to reprise his role as Zack Morris in the upcoming Saved By the Bell revival series and I have to second guess my hesitation based on this fact alone.
He will appear in three episodes of the series and he’ll serve as an executive producer on the project. Already confirmed to have joined the series are former stars Elizabeth Berkley and Mario Lopez. Tiffani Amber Thiessen is apparently in talks.
What do we have to look forward to in the new series? It, “explores what happens when Zack, now the governor of California, gets into hot water for closing too many low-income high schools and proposes the affected students be sent to the highest-performing schools in the state — including Bayside High.”
It’ll be interesting to see the reboot, and I want to hold onto optimism. But I will admit that I have little want for this show to never happen. If it’s anything like Girl Meets World – I am coming for it.
