If you haven’t read Daisy Jones & The Six, you need to make sure that you go ahead and pick that book up now. It was a Reese Witherspoon Bookclub pick and is being adapted by Amazon Studios.
The Taylor Jenkins Reid novel is sooooo good.
If you aren’t familiar with Daisy Jones & The Six, it tells the story of Daisy Jones. She’s rich, parents ignore her, and she finds herself rising to rock stardom in the 70’s. The book is a page turner, one that you won’t regret investing your time into.
The series is set against the backdrop of the 1970s L.A. music scene.
Previously cast in the adaptation of the novel were Riley Keough, Sam Claflin, and Camilla Morrone. There have been additions to the cast. Nabiyah Be, newcomer Will Harrison, Suki Waterhouse, and Josh Whitehouse have all been added.
Waterhouse is Karen Sirko, one of the first women of rock & roll, Whitehouse will play Eddie Roundtree, the bassist of the Six, and Harrison will portray Graham Dunne, Billy’s little brother.
This cast is amazing.
Reese Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter will executive produce for Hello Sunshine, Brad Mendelsohn for Circle of Confusion, Niki Caro, who also directs, and the showrunner is Will Graham.
No premiere or production date for Daisy Jones & The Six, as of yet.
