There have been some additions to the cast of Daisy Jones & The Six, the Amazon musical drama based on the acclaimed book from Taylor Jenkins Reid. Tom Wright (Ray Donovan) and Jacqueline Obradors (Bosch) will star opposite Riley Keough and Sam Claflin.
If you aren’t familiar with Daisy Jones & The Six, it tells the story of Daisy Jones. She’s rich, parents ignore her, and she finds herself rising to rock stardom in the 70’s. The book is a page turner, one that you won’t regret investing your time into.
The series is set against the backdrop of the 1970s L.A. music scene.
Wright will play Teddy, a music producer that has a talent for bringing out the best in his artists. He’s a musical genius and a father figure to his clients.
Obradors will play Lucia, Camila’s mom, who has been hesitant to see her daughter in a relationship with Billy Dunne. She’s a “down-to-earth” woman.
Reese Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter will executive produce for Hello Sunshine, Brad Mendelsohn for Circle of Confusion, Niki Caro, who also directs, and the showrunner is Will Graham.
Riley Keough, Sam Claflin, Camilla Morrone, Nabiyah Be, Will Harrison, Suki Waterhouse, Sebastian Chacon, and Josh Whitehouse also star.
