Disney+ has The Right Stuff.
I had to make that pun. I just had to. I ain’t even sorry.
We’re not getting much in the way of TV news lately, and we don’t even know what – if any – new stuff we’ll get this fall, so at least there’s some good news in that regard: The 8-episode adaptation of Tom Wolfe’s account of the early days of the US space program will, despite being developed for Nat Geo, end up debuting on Disney+ sometime this fall.
And we haven’t even gone into WHO this series stars, because boy, there are a lot of our favorites in this cast, starting with Suits‘ Patrick J. Adams, who will play Major John Glenn, Limitless‘ Jake McDorman, who will play Lieutenant Commander Alan Shepard and Once Upon a Time‘s Colin O’Donoghue, who will play Lieutenant Gordon Cooper.
The cast is rounded up by Aaron Staton, James Lafferty, Micah Stock and Michael Trotter.
