I am all for a good rom-com. They make me happy. For the person that doesn’t believe in love, I have to say, I am sucker for any movie and television show centered around romance.
Or you know that has any semblance of romance in it to prove my stubborn cynical heart wrong.
Netflix is giving me something to look forward to though with a new romantic comedy starring Gabrielle Union. The movie is entitled The Perfect Find and is based on the Tia Williams bestseller.
“Jenna Jones, a woman hopeful that her new job in beauty journalism will rep a fresh start in her life. She soon learns that her new boss, Darcy, is her frenemy. Jenna starts a relationship with the company’s videographer, Eric, and things get complicated when she learns he’s Darcy’s son.”
Union will produce under her I’ll Have Another One production banner.
Jezebel filmmaker Numa Perrier is attached to direct the feature.
It sounds great and you know we love a good trope, so we’ll definitely be watching.
