Netflix is really starting to get on my good side renewing some of my quarantine favorites. Not only have they recently renewed Never Have I Ever and Sweet Magnolias, but another one of my new favorite shows will live to see another season.
Outer Banks has been renewed for a second season, Netflix announced on Friday. And you have to believe the Pogues certainly get the win here.
News of Outer Banks‘ renewal comes three months after the show premiered with its 10-episode first season on April 15. Debuting during quarantine, Outer Banks rose to popularity with its coming of age story that follows a close group of local teenagers living in the Outer Banks of North Carolina.
Following a powerful hurricane that downs the power for the summer, these friends discover a deadly secret regarding John B’s missing father, an old ship wreck and literal treasure to go with it. As they’re eager to learn the mystery about what happened to John B’s father and this treasure, they find themselves in the thick of dangerous mission wrought with mystery and adventure along the way.
We can’t wait for the return of Outer Banks for what’s sure to be an even more adventurous and dangerous second season!
