I admit as much I shouldn’t I am entranced with what is going on with Britney Spears. I know that we will all never know what is going on with Britney, that we want the best for her, and that we want to make sure that she she’s okay.
But her life is private and we need to respect it.
The #FreeBritney movement has speculated that Britney wants to end her conservatorship, but judging by court papers, we all may be wrong with that. The singer has filed court papers, not saying that she wants to end the conservatorship but requesting to have father Jamie Spears removed as her conservator.
Britney’s attorney said that Britney, “is strongly opposed to having [Jamie] return as the conservator of her person” and “strongly prefers” her care manager, Jodi Montgomery, “continue in that role as [she] has done for nearly a year.”
She also does not want her father “continuing as sole conservator of her estate”. In his place she would like a qualified corporate fiduciary.
Whatever happens with Britney, we want her to be happy. The singer has brought so much happiness to others and we want her to have that same happiness.
Britney deserves the world. We all do. But we should all give her the time and space to take care of herself first.
