The first trailer for Zack Snyder’s cut of Justice League was released today at DC Fandome, and we just have one question. Actually, we have many questions, but this is the important one:
IS THIS EVEN THE SAME MOVIE?
Now, I watched Joss Whedon’s Justice League, and I barely recognized it as the same idea, much less the same movie. I mean, yes, it features the same characters, but that’s about it. Everyone, from the tone, to the actual footage is different.
Cyborg actually has backstory! Diana isn’t being sexualized. THE BLACK SUPERMAN SUIT IS HERE.
Are these feelings I’m having?
Of course, that doesn’t mean I’m actually on board with the way they’re releasing it: as four separate one-hour installments. “We’ll find a way of bundling it all together at the end,” said Snyder, who also promised international fans, “we’ll find a way for you to see it.”
Which is all nice and good but like …four one-hour installments? That’s milking it. It really and truly is.
But then again, we’re in a pandemic. We’re starving for content. There are clearly enough people who’ll watch. So I’m not even sure I can blame them.
Check out the trailer below and tell me, how do you feel about the Snyder Cut?
Will you be watching?
