Yes, you heard that right. Bridgerton, the adaptation of Julia Quinn’s romance series centering on, you guessed it, the Bridgerton family, finally has a release date! And we’re not saying it’s going to be the perfect Christmas present, but we’re also not saying it won’t be. Because yes, the romance series adaptation is coming to Netflix on Christmas Day!
The news was announced by the Bridgerton twitter account, in a series of tweets that also introduced the family and gave us a first glimpse at the romance that’s coming our way:
But that’s not all, we also have those same pictures the twitter thread gave us to share with you in much better definition, and they look AMAZING. Look at those dresses! The setting! The LOOKS. And that’s just ONE couple we’re seeing together, so I can’t even imagine what the rest of this series is bringing.
Conspicuously absent, of course, is Lady Whistledown herself. We’re, of course, not sure we’re even going to see her, and it’s impossible to capture Julie Andrews’ voice in pictures, but now that I’ve seen these, I just can’t wait for the trailer. That’s got to be coming soon, right? Right?

That’s our Christmas solved! And hey, this does feel like the perfect way to end 2020, doesn’t it?

Definitely excited! Simon and Daphne are my favorite pairing but I’m excited to see everyone find their HEA, and for Violet to get her wish for all her children to find true love. 🥰
