Episode six of The Crown, also known as “Terra Nullius,” is the first time we really see the dynamic that is Charles, Diana and the influence of Camilla. We also see the emergence of Diana as the “people’s princess.” I will say this episode didn’t change any of my feelings towards Charles or Camilla.
CHARLES BEING A JEALOUS ASSHAT

I just want to start by saying that I will forever severely dislike Charles. Let’s also add Camilla to that list. I know you are probably thinking, but they are in love. They weren’t allowed to get married. It’s not their fault. Wrong, it is their fault. They could have chosen to be together. They didn’t have to drag Diana into their relationship. Camilla could divorce her husband and they could be together if they really wanted. But they didn’t choose that route. No, they are having an affair instead.
Then they added Diana into this mix. Yes, she should have called off the wedding when she found the god forsaken fucking bracelet three days before the wedding. However, that didn’t happen. She was young and naive. She was going to be the Princess of Wales and she didn’t really see what that was going to entail.
Charles and Diana have a complicated relationship and they have William. Charles claims to love Diana, but it’s obvious he really doesn’t. If he did, he would support her. He wouldn’t belittle her and call her useless. He would comfort her and not spend his time at a different estate fucking his ex. It just makes me furious what Diana had to go through and see how much she was struggling and he didn’t even care.
EMOTIONAL OUTREACH

Diana is literally reaching out to Elizabeth for a lifeline. She is clearly struggling and it’s been brought to their attention and they do nothing. Oh, it will pass, just give it time. No, no it won’t pass. Diana will continue to struggle with her new life. She will struggle with a neglectful husband who includes a third person into their marriage. Diana won’t get the support she so desperately needs. She is clearly depressed and has an eating disorder. And it’s such a shame because she is so loved, but she doesn’t get it from the ones she is supposed to call family.
