Episode “48:1” of The Crown was a political chess game and someone very loyal got the short end of the stick. We also got another introduction into Prince Andrew and you can see, even then, the type of person he will become.
STALEMATE

Watching Elizabeth and Margaret Thatcher play chess was interesting. I was rooting for Elizabeth as I’m not a huge fan of Ms. Thatcher. I also would have a hard time keeping my mouth shut if I was Queen. There are a lot of things that happen politically and I can’t imagine the pressure you would have to be under to be silent, because if you speak it creates a constitutional crisis. Everyone should be entitled to their opinion.
TAKING THE BLAME

Making Michael Shea take the blame for being the “leak” to the press is such a shit move. He had dedicated his career to the Royal family and served them loyally and that is how it was paid. He was thrown under the bus because the Queen had to save face. God forbid she own up to a mistake she made. That was a horrible thing she did and I feel bad for Michael.
I’m glad after all that he went on to have a successful career though. And political thrillers at that. It makes me wonder what exactly the content was. I will have to go look it up. He would be a wealth of knowledge and it makes me wonder if he ever included any inter-palace workings in his books.
ANDREW THE DISGUSTING HUMAN BEING
Just watching what a prick that Andrew is disgusts me. Especially since we know all about him now and his dealings with Jeffery Epstein. The man is a predator and the comments that he makes about girls makes me want to retch. I’m glad you didn’t get the sole spotlight on your oh so precious wedding day. You don’t deserve it.
What did you think of episode “48:1” of The Crown? Did Andrew give you the creeps like he gave me?
The Crown is now streaming on Netflix.
