The Witcher: Blood Origin has cast another lead to the six-part prequel series. That person is Jodie Turner-Smith.
The Witcher: Blood Origin is expected to be a six-part live action spinoff prequel series set 1200 years prior to the current Witcher timeline. The show will chart the origins of the very first Witcher and the events that led to the pivotal “conjunction of the spheres,” when the worlds of monsters, men, and elves merged to become one. No premiere date has been set.
The Witcher: Blood Origin will a have familiar face at the helm. Lauren Schmidt Hissrich is returning as an Executive Producer. The series is the prequel to the very popular Netflix series, The Witcher.
According to Deadline, Jodie Turner-Smith will play Éile, a warrior that has left her position and clan to follow her hearts desire as a nomadic musician. A force on the contentment forces her to return to her warrior ways in a quest for vegenceance and redemption.
From that description alone, her character kind of sounds like a mix between Jaskier and Geralt. Kind of. Either way, we are very excited for this little piece of news!
Turner-Smith has also stared in many different projects that include Queen & Slim, Jett, and Nightfylers.
