There are a lot of celebrities that I would not believe when they said that they are sad that they have to cancel something and there are those that I would believe. Taylor Swift is one of the very few that I really think cares unconditionally about her fans and is sad to cancel things.
The songstress announced that she was cancelling Loverfest, which has previously been postponed due to the pandemic.
“I love coming on here to tell you good news, or to share a new project with you. It’s not my favorite thing in the world to have to tell you news I’m sad about. I’m so sorry, but I cannot reschedule the shows that we’ve postponed. Although refunds have been available since we first postponed the Lover Fest shows, many of you hung onto your tickets and I too hung onto the idea that we could reschedule,” Taylor said on her social media. I love that she comes online to tell us things personally, versus the media. I feel that Taylor is an expert at cultivating her relationship with her fans and her personal approach is part of what I love about her.
She added, “This is an unprecedented pandemic that has changed everyone’s plans and no one knows what the touring landscape is going to look like in the near future. I’m so disappointed that I won’t be able to see you in person as soon as I wanted to. I miss you terribly and can’t wait til we can all safely be at shows together again.”
We can’t wait for the day that we can go to concerts again. Are you sad about Lover Fest? Do you miss concerts as much as we do?
