Celebrity is a weird thing. It’s something where you have this job where your life is on display and people want to interact with you, but I think we can all agree that sometimes has to be weird and overwhelming.
After all, you’re just doing your job.
Tom Holland was talking with British GQ and the fact that Zendaya gave him some advice on his interactions with fans came up. I have to admit it makes me smile, because I love the both of them.
“Talking to Zendaya‘s helped me a lot, actually,” Tom said. “I used to come across sometimes as a bit of a dick to fans, mainly as I was always so surprised that they’d want a picture with me or signature or whatever.”
He explained, “I’d have the typical Londoner reaction, one of instant suspicion: ‘Why are you talking to me?’ Zendaya spotted this and quickly told me that this sort of reaction was going to be more aggro than just smiling and taking the picture. She totally changed the way I am able to be more comfortable in public.”
Look, I can’t even imagine what it’s like to have the world wanting your attention and everyone demanding something from you at all times. I also do get why Tom would question why people want to take pictures with him – anyone who is just doing there job would. Also, I hate pictures so I’d be like what? But from what I have seen, his interactions have always been putting fans first.
What do you think?
