She may have only lasted one season on YOU, cause you know Joe was a psycho and killed her, but we’re hoping she lasts longer on her newest gig.
Elizabeth Lail has joined the ensemble cast of the reboot of Gossip Girl. The reboot of the series, like the original is written and showrun by Josh Safran, is based on the book by Cecily von Ziegesar.
We’re not sure about the part Elizabeth will play but we are looking forward to finding out.
The logline for the reboot?
Eight years after the original website went dark, a new generation of New York private school teens are introduced to the social surveillance of Gossip Girl. The prestige series will address just how much social media — and the landscape of New York itself — has changed in the intervening years.
We’re excited for all of the possibilities that the new Gossip Girl will bring.
Lail joins a cast that includes Jordan Alexander, Julien Calloway, Whitney Peak, Thomas Doherty, Evan Mock, Eli Brown, Tavi Gevinson, Emily Alyn Lind, Zion Moreno and Savannah Lee Smith.
We’re not sure when the show will be released, but you can guarantee that we’ll be all over it. The reboot of Gossip Girl will air on HBO Max.
