I think that there is nothing more fitting for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s first Netflix project than this. There first project from Archewell Productions, in association with Netflix will focus on the Invictus Games.
The Invictus Games is an organization Harry has worked closely with for years as a co-founder. It’s something that is definitely close to their hearts and something that the Duke and Duchess support despite their status of no longer being senior royals.
And the reason why I bring that up is because I read several comments asking why this was their first project, being as they had stepped away from their senior royal roles.
The project with be entitled, Heart of Invictus, and will follow a, “group of extraordinary competitors from around the globe, all service members who have suffered life-changing injuries or illnesses on their road to the Invictus Games The Hague 2020, now set to take place in 2022.”
“Since the very first Invictus Games back in 2014, we knew that each competitor would contribute in their own exceptional way to a mosaic of resilience, determination, and resolve. This series will give communities around the world a window into the moving and uplifting stories of these competitors on their path to the Netherlands next year. As Archewell Productions’ first series with Netflix, in partnership with the Invictus Games Foundation, I couldn’t be more excited for the journey ahead or prouder of the Invictus community for continuously inspiring global healing, human potential and continued service,” Prince Harry, who is still a Patron of The Invictus Games Foundation, said in a statement.
The project will be directed by Orlando von Einsiedel‘. To learn more about the Invictus Games, please visit the official website.
