Pacey forever. I am sure that Joshua Jackson wants to be known as more than just being Pacey from Dawson’s Creek, but for some of us (me, I am us) – we (me, I am we) can’t think of him any other way.
However he has definitely moved on to other projects, including one for Peacock, Dr. Death.
It tells the story of Dr. Christopher Duntsch (Jackson), a neurologist in the Dallas area who was at the peak of his career, with everything flourishing – until it wasn’t. Dr. Death is his nickname for a reason.
Patients would enter his operating room for complex but routine spinal surgeries, and end up coming out dead or maimed. As the bodies under his care pile up, Robert Henderson (Alec Baldwin) and vascular surgeon Randall Kirby (Christian Slater), as well as Dallas prosecutor Michelle Shughart (AnnaSophia Robb), set out to stop him.
The show will focus on what he did, but will also explore the system that’s meant to take care of us and protect us, but well… failed all these patients.
No word on a release date as of yet, but we’re paying attention. It’s said that it will come out this year.
The series is based on Wondery’s hit podcast “Dr. Death” which has over 50 million listeners to date.
