Now, I love Paxton and Ben, but I am not trying to juggle them. Hell, I am not trying to juggle any two men in my life. That shit is EXHAUSTING. Do I know that Devi is happy to have these two liking her? Yes. But do I know this is a bad idea, juggling both? Yes, absolutely yes.
Now, we all love a first text in the morning and a last text of the day. Ben and Paxton are charming as fuck, hot, and adorable. Each has their own charm. So for Devi, I get why it is that she doesn’t want to choose. And why she’d want to have all the boys fawning over her.
She is not good at juggling them and to be honest Eleanor and Fabiola are just as complacent in her deceit, living vicariously through her. Devi’s made some big mistakes, because she could have been clear of wrong doing, but she defined the relationships. She called them both her boyfriend. She set it up that there is no way to deny that she didn’t know.

Up until this episode, I was always rooting for Devi, I wanted her to have the quintessential high school fairy tale where she has the boyfriend, the popularity, the wit. But it’s the first time I was actually meh with her. It’s the first time that I wanted to yell at her.
Now, I haven’t understood how she’s pulling this shit off at school. Someone had to have seen something. I mean at my high school rumors spread faster than wildfire, even about the nerds. But regardless of Devi juggling both and potentially hurting them both, I have to admit that I was still rooting for her.
Because Devi is the reminder that we have to have confidence in ourselves, that we need to root for ourselves first. She’s not a bad person, she just makes bad choices, as we all do at times. She shows you that regardless of what people think about you it’s what you think about yourself.
While Devi’s juggling Ben and Paxton, her Mom has gone off to India to find them a home and a place for her medical practice. She is going there for family support, but it’s more like no one notices her and she’s in the way. She’s feeling just as lost there as she does in Los Angeles. It’s kinda funny that she finds solace in the one place that she didn’t want to go, visiting her mother-in-law, Nirmala. She tells Nalini that she shouldn’t move to India and it takes a bit, but Nalini realizes that she is right. Instead she decides to move Nirmala to Los Angeles.
Devi’s friends are supporting her, but Fabiola is going through her own stuff. She feels completely awkward around her girlfriends friends. She doesn’t know all of the references they use and thinks that they don’t like her. She doesn’t fit in and so she keeps running away. She’s trying to cram in everything she can so that she can relate to them, but it’s too much and it’s causing her anxiety.
The thing I love about Fabiola and Eve is that Eve doesn’t care that Fabiola isn’t hip and that she’s a nerd. She likes her. She wants her to be comfortable. She wants her to feel at peace. And so she suggests that they hand one on one and it’s the sweetest shit ever.

Eleanor is Eleanor and she’s do dramatic it’s kinda funny, but also a little bit like girl, you need to calm down. She’s taken by an actor that shows up at the rager that Devi is throwing? And why is she throwing a rager? Well, because the intimate dinner that she had planned for Devi was fucked up when she invited Ben, after Devi told her not to.
It’s a right of passage, throwing a party. But Devi is treading on thin ice and things aren’t going her way. Ben and Paxton showing up at the same time should have been her first clue that she was going to get caught.
She does a good job juggling them for a while, until she doesn’t pay attention to where one is and they end up in her room – Paxton and Ben, leaning on the board that she put the pros and cons list and trying to figure out why each of them is there. When they decide to go back downstairs Ben overhears Devi telling a girl off and that she’s dating Paxton.
I have to admit that I was surprised that Devi let her guard down, but I was even more shocked that Ben told Paxton that they were dating the same person and Paxton’s reaction. Devi got caught and it was obvious that she wanted them both to be okay with it, but even more obvious that she really likes Paxton.
She chased after him when he left, and of course, everything went really wrong. And we’re talking the whole kind of wrong where you never want to show your face again, because the most popular guy in school just got hit by a car storming off after finding out you were cheating on him.
It’s the kind of moment that makes you want to cringe and also watch more, because you’re hoping that the hot guy is okay (we’re rooting for you Paxton) and also you know the high school drama that is about to unfold.
Who will stand by Devi? Will she recover? Because now that India is off the table, Devi has no choice to face the consequences of her actions.
