The pandemic can’t stop the Her Universe Fashion show! That’s right, Her Universe is bringing the show to Comic-Con@Home and you can still be part of it! The show will stream today at 5pm PDT on the Comic-Con@Home YouTube, and the entire Comic-Con@Home collection is available now on the Her Universe website.
After the show, fans will be able to cast their own votes for the 2021 Audience Winner by registering here.
This year’s collection includes clothing inspired by Star Wars, WandaVision, The Umbrella Academy, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and Jurassic Park. My particular favorites have to be the Avatar: The Last Airbender cardigan with Appa and Momo embroidered on the sleeves, the Baby Yoda aka The Child aka Grogu cardigan, because we’re all weak for that cute little face, plus that The Mandalorian bomber jacket. Not saying we got them all, but also not saying otherwise. Deny everything, admit nothing.
After a year apart in some of the roughest of circumstances, Ashley and the Her Universe team have carefully selected the 2021 theme to be “Community” in honor of the passionate and tight-knit group of individuals that truly make up the Comic-Con world from all walks of life and corners of the world. Recognized globally as a true highlight from the convention in past years, Ashley herself plans to debut two looks with both a judge-selected and audience-voted winner. The designer selected by the judging panel will then team up with Hot Topic to create a custom line of apparel.
While the show is virtual unlike the past, Ashley hopes the event will still continue to push her agenda of inclusivity, empowerment, and mental health awareness throughout the community as even more fans can tune-in from across the world.
