If you follow the Royal Family or know anything about them, you know that Sarah Ferguson has always wanted attention. She has always come across as wanting the world to recognize her, regardless of how she does or doesn’t fit into the family.
And hey – fine.
But this made me laugh because it’s a cross between desperation and just sad.
The Duchess was talking to Town & Country and she talked about The Crown. Now, we know that The Crown is a dramatized series and not everything is factual. It has rarely, if ever (to be honest, I don’t remember, cause if they did its been forgettable) shown Fergie.
And she sounds like she didn’t like that. She actually reached out to the production and offered advice on what they could do with her character. Umm… is there no shame? But again, I feel like she’s always needed and thrived off of attention.
In the interview she said that she even wrote to Andy Harries, an executive producer of The Crown, offering to help and give input. “I said to him, ‘Why can’t I help my character?’ ” she said.
Her offer was declined and we’re applauding that decision.
Fergie has always been outspoken and we’ve grown to expect that. But this whole thing is weird.
Maybe she should learn to keep some secrets and not be so fixated on being the center of attention.
