It’s funny to me sometimes, seeing Lady Gaga in things. I mean, I love her and think she’s super talented. I just remember meeting her while waiting for a Southwest flight, when she was on tour with the New Kids on The Block. She was the kindest celebrity I had ever met at that point.
I didn’t think about if she would be more famous than she was at that time, but she definitely is more famous than most of us ever thought anyone could be.
And I am living for it.
The superstar has a new movie, House of Gucci, with Adam Driver. Now, I love the Gucci brand, but I don’t know much about the backstory of it. However, I am a sucker for a movie that has such an amazing cast, so I am going to be all over this.
House of Gucci is inspired by the shocking true story of the family empire behind the Italian fashion house of Gucci. Spanning three decades of love, betrayal, decadence, revenge, and ultimately murder, we see what a name means, what it’s worth, and how far a family will go for control.
It’s based on the 2001 non-fiction book The House of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamour, and Greed by Sara Gay Forden.
House of Gucci stars Lady Gaga as Patrizia Reggiani, Adam Driver as Maurizio Gucci, Jared Leto (literally unrecognizable) as Paolo Gucci, Al Pacino as Aldo Gucci, Jeremy Irons as Rodolfo Gucci, Jack Huston as Domenico De Sole, Reeve Carney as Tom Ford, Camille Cottin as Paola Franchi, Madalina Diana Ghenea as Sophia Loren, Mehdi Nebbou as Said, Miloud Mourad Benamara as Omar, and Salma Hayek as Giuseppina “Pina” Auriemma.
The film will hit theaters November 24th.
