You know how you want to believe the things that celebrities say, but sometimes you are wondering if you live on the same planet? The things that the say make you wonder if they are in touch with what is good and what isn’t.
Some people say that the ending to The Kissing Booth 3 was good. I will say that they are wrong. It wasn’t good.
No one invests that much time in fandom to not have a conclusion. And I don’t give a shit what anyone says, that wasn’t a conclusion.
That being said Joey King likes the ending and well, personally, she’s wrong.
“Finding the right way to do the send-off and figuring out what was best for the final edit was probably the heaviest area that I was involved in,” Joey said in an interview with Variety. “That was very exciting for me, because I just want to make sure that for me, for all the filmmakers and for all the fans, that our send-off was just right. I really hope they feel that way.”
“I think it’s so nice that Elle gets to be her own person and make those decisions that are best for her, which is really hard to do.”
Well Joey, you are wrong. Let me reiterate that. People don’t watch a series like this for the movies to have an open ending. They want the romance, the ending, and the knowledge that their characters are okay.
“I’m so happy with the way we wrapped this trilogy up, because not only do we give the fans what they’re hoping for, in a way we also don’t,” she also commented. “I’m excited for people to paint their own picture.”
Raise your hand if you didn’t want to have to paint your own picture!
The Kissing Booth 3 is streaming now on Netflix.
