No one wants Covid-19. It’s a miserable virus and some people have become too relaxed and forgotten that a pandemic is still going on.
For everyone and especially people like me, with a compromised immune system, that is scary. I am fully vaccinated and yet, I do know that there is still a chance of getting Covid-19. I’ve had the virus before and I do know that there is still a chance of getting Covid-19. So I remain vigilant and still wear a mask, practice social distancing, and wash my hands frequently.
However not everyone is like that. And that means that we have to be extra cautious.
Melissa Joan Hart was cautious (but admitted she got a little lazy) and fully vaccinated and the actress has reported that she is fighting Covid-19.
The actress didn’t post her story for politics or pity, but shared her story to help others.
“I’m praying that the other ones are okay. I’m mad, really mad, because we tried and we took precautions and we cut our exposure by a lot but we got a little lazy and I think as a country we got lazy,” Melissa said, obviously upset in the video. “I’m really mad that my kids didn’t have to wear masks at school and I’m pretty sure that’s where this came from.”
In the video she also revealed that she believes that one of her sons also has Covid.
“If someone has to be taken to the hospital, I can’t go with them and I’m just scared and sad and disappointed in myself, some of our leaders and a lot of people, including myself,” Melissa said.
“I just wish I’d done better, so I’m asking you guys to do better,” she continued. “Protect your families, protect your kids, it’s not over yet. I hoped it was, but it’s not. So stay vigilant and stay safe.”
We’re hoping her and her son recover soon. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by the virus.
It’s simple to be there for other people – get vaccinated and wear a mask. We are still in a pandemic people.
