The new iteration of Pretty Little Liars is underway in upstate New York and we’ve made it pretty clear that we’re meh about it. It feels too soon, but in the same breathe we know that we will hate watch it and fall in love with it.
We can call ourselves out for being bitter even when we know it will change.
Alex Aiono, Mallory Bechtel, and Eric Johnson have joined the cast that already has Chandler Kinney, Maia Reficco, Malia Pyles, Zaria, and Bailee Madison. They will be series regulars.
Aiono will play Shawn, Noa’s super supportive jock boyfriend and one of the most popular guys at Millwood High.
Bechtel is the mean girl – this Liar’s iteration of Mona. She’s the antagonist to the liars.
And lastly, Johnson will be the towns Sheriff. He’s the patriarch of the Beasley family and he may be just as big of an adversary to the Liars.
In this new series, “Twenty years ago, a series of tragic events almost ripped the blue-collar town of Millwood apart. Now, in the present day, a group of disparate teen girls — a brand-new set of Little Liars — find themselves tormented by an unknown Assailant and made to pay for the secret sin their parents committed two decades ago…as well as their own.”
Original Sin is currently filming in Upstate New York.
