‘Stargirl’ 2×08 Photos: “Summer School: Chapter Eight”

Who could’ve thought known that keeping a man-turned-beast who was forced to become a murderer in the woods of Blue Valley wasn’t a bad idea? Not Rick Tyler, apparently. Rick faces his decision to spare Solomon Grundy in Stargirl 2×08, “Summer School: Chapter 8.”

Rick has yet to tell Courtney, Beth, and Yolanda about where he’s keeping Grundy, but the truth will come out. It looks like Pat and Courtney will take matters into their own hands to find answers or at least fill in the blanks Rick leaves.

Rick may risk it all to protect (and then fight?) Grundy once Rick realizes that second chances aren’t always black and white. Grundy may have accidentally killed his parents and someone else in Blue Valley.

The puzzles pieces are small and jagged, but I’ll do my best to put them together as I see it. Hunters are hunting “a bear” in the woods. It could very well be that these hunters are just looking to harm a helpless animal, not knowing it’s Grundy.

However, that feels too simple and not dark enough for this season of Stargirl. Instead, it feels more likely that someone was killed by a bear. Rick does ask Grundy, “Did you kill her?!” It could be that Grundy accidentally or purposefully killed someone else.

Hopefully the JSA can figure out how to help and/or move Grundy to a safer location than Blue Valley’s woods. Also, it would be really great if Courtney and Rick have a second to stop in and check on Beth because Eclipso’s targeting her now. There’s no way that can end well.
