We’re back! Alex Rider 1×03 “Mirror” shows Alex’s conflict between following a destiny that he has just begun to discover or trying to ignore that part of him. Time for a review!
Here we go!
In Alex Rider 1×03 “Mirror” Alex has to live in that precarious balance between his normal life and his life as a spy. If in the previous episode it was Tom who was afraid of losing Alex, this time it’s Jack who talks to Alex so that he lets MI6 take care of all that mess while he takes care of being a normal teenager.
Because Blunt may not have been delicate when he said it but the truth is that Alex is no longer an agent and that part of his life is over. But Alex can’t put it down, he just can’t turn off or ignore that part of him that yells at him that he must do something. He cannot stop helping people in need, despite the danger that this may pose to him, Alex is not like that. Asking him to do so is like asking him to stop being him.

And Jack is at a crossroads right now. She would never ask Alex to stop being who he is, but at the same time, he can’t help but feel fear. She feels her heart leap out of her mouth every time Alex leaves and gets in the middle of dangerous people’s plans. She just wants everything to go back to the way it was before Alex met MI6.
But what happens with fate is that once it finds you, there is no going back.
And Alex has already found his destiny. He’s determined to follow it whether Tom and Jack agree or not, so the two of them only have to support him and be there for whatever Alex needs.
It’s time for Alex to find out what his path is in this new world.
We find Gregorovich’s attitude curious in Alex Rider 1×03 “Mirror.” As soon as he finds out that the witness who saw him kill Mirror is Alex, he just… lets his getaway. I mean, he just killed a man, Alex saw him and Alex stands in front of him, bare-chested, daring him to shoot him but Gregorovich lets him go without a scratch, again. Despite the risks, he continues to protect Alex. Why?
It’s also important how Gregorovich says his name. It’s a mixture of surprise, horror, and longing. He didn’t expect Alex there and he didn’t want Alex to see him kill anyone in cold blood. It’s quite interesting…will Gregorovich be Alex’s father?

In the middle of all this mess in Alex Rider 1×03 “Mirror,” we have Damian and his master plan. What does he intend to do with that video game? The way he promotes it as if he could manipulate people all through it gives us a very bad feeling…
As a last note, we like to see Tom meet someone new in Alex Rider 1×03 “Mirror.” And we’d like to see a lot more of this because we love Tom’s smile, don’t you?
Our Alex Rider 2×03 “Mirror” review ends here. We will be back tomorrow with a new one. Stay tuned!
