Encanto has inspired so many people to create, create, create! The latest discovery for us, when it comes to creators on TikTok is Bad Juju Mask. They create unique face masks that incorporate some of your favorite characters on film and TV. (Sometimes even real-life people too.)
Recently, Bad Juju Mask has been absolutely blowing up because of the face masks that they’ve been making for the Madrigal family from Encanto. They are absolutely gorgeous and make us want to buy every single one and some for our friends. And this is coming from someone who hasn’t worn cloth face masks since the pandemic started.
So what changed for us? (Also, remember we’re not medical experts and the most important thing is keeping yourself and your loved ones safe.)
Bad Juju Mask did a candle test. Yes, it’s a little rudimentary. But it shows how much gets through when it comes to this mask and the possible protection it provides. In the video, they put on various masks and tried to blow out a candle while wearing them. And we were absolutely surprised how hard they were blowing and how that candle was still there while they were wearing their brand’s mask.
Personally, and after living in this pandemic with the rest of you, we’re still going to wear our KN95 masks. Protection is the name of the game after all. But we wouldn’t mind throwing something pretty like Bad Juju Masks on top of it. We’ll know once we order the Encanto face masks we want and test them out ourselves.
