Everyone who’s read fanfiction authors notes has come across a wild reason why the authors have been MIA. Sometimes it’s something tame. They had school, work kept them busy, or family events were happening. Those make sense. And we, as readers, can’t help but identify with that and understand these situations. Either way, we’re happy to have the fanfiction authors back in our lives and a new chapter in our lives.
But those aren’t the only kids of authors notes that fanfiction authors put out there into the world. Some are wild, out of this world, and make you wonder, “Is this real? Or am I being lied to?” We’re talking about notes where someone gets hit by a semi-truck, follows it up with cancer, and then their house burns down. Separately these seem plausible. But together it seems like a bit much and almost unbelievable.
That’s where user @juiceinaboxx comes in. He compiled a collection of fanfiction authors notes that are about as wild as it gets via TikTok. And the more we watched, the more we came to the conclusion that either people want attention, have crazy circumstances they’re going through, or just don’t have any excuse and don’t want to say, “Hey, maybe I didn’t feel like writing.” Ultimately, it’s up to the reader to believe.
