One of the best decisions Tosca Musk could have ever made was bringing Sylvain Reynard’s book series Gabriel’s Inferno to life onscreen for Passionflix. We’ve been following this series of films since they were released in 2020 and haven’t stopped since. Julia and Gabriel’s love story is what keeps us coming back for more. We want to see these two make it but, like any other relationship, there are always obstacles to overcome. Julia and Gabriel have a whole host of them in Gabriel’s Rapture: Part Two.
The thing we love about Julia and Gabriel is how real their relationship is. They are both flawed characters and prove to us time and time again that no relationship is perfect. We get to see them enjoy being together and sharing secrets, hopes, and dreams. Most importantly, they have open conversations about things couples should communicate to one another. I can honestly say some of the conversations they have are not typically ones I’ve seen in Romance movies, but I wish more directors would have moments like these.

We also see the fights and the things Julia and Gabriel will do for each other. Julia and Gabriel have never had a conventional relationship and they still have things to work through like their past traumas. Those past traumas still affect them in a big way which is why it’s important to see both of them doing what they have to in order to get through it. The fact that they are willing to share these things with each other speaks volumes because it’s not easy to give every part of yourself to someone especially things from the past that left you scarred in a literal and figurative sense.
Julia doesn’t judge Gabriel for his sins of the past, but she also refuses to let them bring her down. That much she constantly makes clear to him. Gabriel is a completely different person because of Julia, and we really see how much he has grown throughout the film series. Julia has slowly brought down his walls and believe me when I say he had some very high walls to bring down. Does that mean that he doesn’t still have to fight his demons like anyone else? Absolutely not. But he knows and understands that he doesn’t have to do it alone.

Julia has really grown into herself as well in Gabriel’s Rapture: Part Two. She is a woman who knows what she wants and when her relationship is challenged by those around her, she refuses to back down. There are a lot of hurdles she and Gabriel have to climb in Gabriel’s Rapture: Part Two and their relationship is put to the test in ways they never expected. What this movie does is remind us of the lengths we will go to in order to fight for the one we love even if that means we may have to sacrifice ourselves in the process.
When you watch Gabriel’s Rapture: Part Two you will be thoroughly impressed by both Melanie Zanetti and Giulio Berruti’s performances. This film is emotional, and we were prepared for that. These two do an incredible job of bringing all of their emotions out. From joy to pain, we feel it all with them. If you’re anything like us, then you’ll be glued to the screen because of how magnetic Melanie and Giulio are. Their chemistry is everything. The long glances into each other’s eyes, the soft touches of the skin, it’s all there and Tosca Musk once again catches it beautifully with her directing and you’re for sure going to have your fill of warm fuzzies and also a little heartbreak because as they say, love is pain, right?
Is there a cliffhanger into part 3 or is all in part 2?
