If you’ve been following my Star Trek coverage here at Fangirlish, then you know how excited I am for Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. Imagine my delight when I learned that Fangirlish was invited to be a part of a series of roundtable interviews with the cast of Strange New Worlds! First up, I had the pleasure of getting to chat with Anson Mount, the Captain of our crew. Anson Mount joined the cast of Star Trek: Discovery in season 2 as legacy character Captain Pike. His performance as Pike made him an instant fan favorite. Mount is actually a big Star Trek fan and his love of Trek shows in his performance.
The positive reception to this Enterprise crew, particularly Mount’s performance as Captain Pike, begat the production of a spin-off series. The pandemic slowed production, but I’m quite happy that we’re finally getting Strange New Worlds on our screens this spring. Are you ready to explore Strange New Worlds?
