The Devil Wears Prada is one of those movies that we stop and watch every single time it is on. It’s iconic. It’s a movie that made us dream about making our own way in the world and about being strong.
And one of the most iconic scene? Well that would be the Chanel boots scene. You know the one.
While speaking to British Vogue, Supermodel Giselle Bundchen was asked about the film, how it was a good time, and how originally she didn’t want to do it at all.
“‘I’m not gonna play a model, I do that every day; that’s already a role I play’”, she said about telling screenwriter Aline Brosh McKenna, who originally approached Giselle for the part.
“I am not an actress, I’ve never had an acting class. It was Meryl Streep, who I think is the best actress of all time. It was Emily Blunt and Anne Hathaway, all of them, incredible.”
“And that’s the scene I was doing, with those three ladies and me. So I was like, ‘Okay, I hope I don’t screw this up.’”
She definitely didn’t screw it up. If anything, she definitely added to it. She is someone that we will always remember as being in one of the most iconic scenes in film of all time.
