We can imagine that we’re all feeling a type of way after the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe vs. Wade. We’re angry, we’re frustrated, we’re confused. We’re at a loss for what to do, because we (to a point feel hopeless).
We do admire that immediately, Lizzo took action. The superstar made us refocus our thoughts and realize that we can’t stop fighting. The singer made the announcement, “I’m pledging $500k from my upcoming tour to Planned Parenthood and Abortion Rights. Live Nation agreed to match— to make it 1 MILLION dollars.”
She went on to say, “The most important thing is action & loud voices. @plannedparenthood @abortionfunds & organizations like them— will need funding to continue offering services to people who are most harmed by this ban.”
She continued, “Black women & women of color have historically had disproportionately less access to family planning resources— this is a great loss but not a new one.”
