Lately, we’ve really been getting into mythology a lot more, so a show about it? We’re there. We have to admit when it comes to this one, we never thought that it would happen.
Kaos was announced was back in 2018, but you know with the pandemic and all, we’re not shocked that it never ended up filming. But as with most things, we thought it would just never thought it would come to fruition. But we’re always glad when we’re wrong about something that we were looking forward to.
Kaos had originally cast Hugh Grant as Zeus in the series, but the actor had to back out due to scheduling conflicts. We never believe a scheduling conflict story, because we’ve worked in this industry long enough.
But somehow, when you tell us that the scheduling conflict leaves us having Jeff Goldblum as the replacement, we’re not really mad about it. Yes, Jeff Goldblum as Zeus is something we can definitely get behind.
Kaos is an eight episode series and is a contemporary take on mythology as we know it. The series is said to put a , “modern twist on Greek and Roman mythology, exploring themes of gender politics, power and life in the underworld.”
Alongside Goldblum in the series, we will also have Janet McTeer, Cliff Curtis, David Thewlis, Killian Scott, Aurora Perrineau, Misia Butler, Leila Farzad, Nabhaan Rizwan, Rakie Ayola and Stanley Townsend.
Sounds like a great cast to us. We’re definitely looking forward to it!
