There are so many amazing movies to look forward to this fall. The month of September is going to be full of them, and we can’t wait to park our butts in movie seats to watch. One of the films we’re excited to see, if you didn’t already know, is Don’t Worry Darling.
The film, directed by Olivia Wilde, is about Alice (Florence Pugh), a 1950s housewife living with her husband Jack (Harry Styles) in a utopian experimental community named Victory. Jack works for the top-secret Victory Project run by a really odd CEO named Frank (Chris Pine).
Things are going well for them at first. The community is beautiful and idyllic. Most importantly, all of their needs and wants are provided by the company — even their living arrangements.

As long as everyone follows the rules, which include never inquiring about what it is that the Victory Project does, everything is fine. At first, Alice abides by this. But soon, some things start to happen that make her worry that the glamorous company Jack works for may be hiding disturbing secrets.
Back in May, we finally got the first Don’t Worry Darling trailer, and it was really intriguing and had some weird stuff happening. A second trailer, which we were not expecting, dropped this week. And we got so much more this time around, including more speaking parts from both Pugh and Styles.
We think we enjoyed this second trailer even more than the first. But we must say, we still have tons of questions. Like Alice, we want to know what the Victory Project is.

This Don’t Worry Darling trailer was chock full of steam and some crazy imagery, like Alice getting crushed while cleaning the patio glass. There’s also a strange scene where it seems like Frank is passing on his role to Jack. We don’t think it has anything to do with business, though. Frank is weird, and he gives cult leader vibes nonstop. Speaking of weird, what was up with that pervy moment of him watching Alice and Jack?
All of the ladies also seem to be living like Stepford Wives. The men, of course, are in control, but it seems like there is a deeper meaning behind that control. Just how far it goes, we won’t know until we can watch the movie.
We’ve already told you how much we love thrillers, and Don’t Worry Darling looks like it’s going to be a good one. The cast is amazing, and we’re ready to watch Pugh and Styles kill it on screen. We know Pugh has those skills, but we’re ready to see what Styles will do with a character like this that he hasn’t played before.

Don’t Worry Darling also stars Olivia Wilde, Gemma Chan, Nick Kroll, and KiKi Layne.
