We’ve told you before how much we love movie posters. They’re sort of like a book cover in the way they draw us in. If they are good ones, then we will most likely look up the film to learn more about it. If it’s average, we’ll probably still look it up but not right away.
The official poster for The Woman King has been released and it is amazing.
How incredible is this poster? we love the way the color tones stand out. And how awesome does Viola Davis look? Just in case you need a refresher, The Woman King “tells the true story of the Agojie (also known as Amazons), a real-life army of women warriors who defended the powerful West African kingdom of Dahomey in present-day Benin during the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries.” Davis stars as General Nanisca who leads the female warriors.
The Woman King stars Lashana Lynch, Hero Fiennes Tiffin, John Boyega, Jordan Bolger, Sheila Atim, Thuso Mbedu, Jayme Lawson, Thando Dlomo, and Adrienne Warren.
