But we’re going to be really, really honest, we’re still pretty happy about how that turned out. To set the stage, let us take you back to the beginning of Jack and Mel’s relationship, back when Jack was casually seeing Charmaine and we were all young and innocent because Virgin River was still pretty new.
He wanted nothing serious, she did. Things …didn’t work out. Then, he met Mel and …well, he did want something serious with her. Except Charmaine revealed, as Jack and Mel were starting a relationship, that she was pregnant. With twins.
Fast forward to now and Charmaine’s reveal that the twins aren’t …Jack’s. Who’s shocked?
No one. No one’s shocked. Fans have literally been speculating about this since the words “I’m pregnant” left Charmaine’s mouth.
We said it in our season 3 review.
Fans speculated as they were watching, and felt vindicated later.
But fans still weren’t happy at the reveal, especially considering how long Charmaine lied.
Plus, there was plenty of other reasons to dislike Charmaine this season:
