Here we are one more week! The Rookie: Feds 1×03 “Star Crossed” allows us to learn more about the past and personal relationships of our favorite characters and we love it! Ready?
Here we go!
Fiancées and Friends Who Are Two of a Kind

In The Rookie: Feds 1×03 “Star Crossed” we finally got to know more about Laura’s past and we understand more why she is so distrustful and tries to protect herself so that nothing and no one reaches her on a personal level. Her fiancé cheated on her with her supposed best friend.
The truth is, I would also try to protect myself from being harmed like that again. It was a double betrayal from two assholes who deserve nothing more than to rot in their own trash because they deserve each other. I still can’t believe that after all, her friend dares to look for Laura to announce her wedding with her particular pig. And, as if that weren’t enough, blaming Laura for the garbage that they are.
We didn’t understand Laura’s reaction in The Rookie: Feds 1×03 “Star Crossed.” If that had happened to us, we would have at least pulled that b*tch out of her hair, or, in a less violent and classier outburst, we would have made it clear to her that we came out on top. But Laura does… nothing. What the hell? Does she have no blood in her veins or what?
We understand what Laura says to Brendon. Actually, she has a point in saying that holding a grudge doesn’t help anyone and she should get on with her life. But that is one thing and quite another to let them trample on you like Laura was doing. So here I am with Brendon: Laura has to assert herself and she can’t let that filthy woman humiliate her.
That’s why we’re very proud of Laura when she does just that and she makes it clear to that b*tch that she came out on top and that if she thinks he’s not going to cheat on her, she’s quite wrong. Laura was like a Lady and the other woman was rolled and sunk. That’s our girl!
The Past Always Comes Back

Carter isn’t exactly having a great time in his personal life, either. We don’t know what happened here and we don’t understand why his wife is asking about the promotion when that’s not supposed to be the problem.
Whatever happened, it had to be serious because Carter’s wife seems so disappointed that she doesn’t have feelings for him anymore. Just indifference. As if there was nothing between them to rescue. That doesn’t happen from one day to the next… I would like the show to explain more about what happened so we can understand it better.
The fact is that the divorce is already a fact for Carter and his wife. He insists on trying to pretend that he is fine but he is not. Simone tries to help him in The Rookie: Feds 1×03 “Star Crossed” but he is reluctant to talk to her about it. Not just to avoid crossing the line between the federal agent in charge and the federal rookie, but because Carter feels that if he verbalizes it, it will all become too real to bear.
However, Simone is right. If Carter doesn’t want to talk to her, that’s fine, but he needs to talk to someone. If he doesn’t, everything he’s feeling will eat away at him from the inside out and take him to a dark place where it will be hard for him to get out.
Nightly Reflections and Belated Truths

When a friend dies, it’s normal to reflect on one’s own death. And Garza does the same in The Rookie: Feds 1×03 “Star Crossed.” It all happened in a second. His friend seemed fine and the second he was gone. Garza can’t help but think that something similar could happen to him, especially with his health problems.
He is taking care of himself, but who can guarantee that the same thing will not happen to him? No one. He is not ready to leave, and yet he feels death closer than ever, almost breathing down his neck. It’s a logical reaction after the sudden death of his friend, but Garza still has a lot of fighting to do. Fingers crossed.
Simone is a bisexual queen! We love that the show bets on representation. We just hope her father doesn’t find out that she didn’t pay much attention to him about hooking up with *that* woman. In Simone’s defense, her father told her the truth too late in The Rookie: Feds 1×03 “Star Crossed” and everything was already done (wink, wink). We can’t wait to see all the adventures that await Simone!
The Rookie: Feds season 1 airs Tuesdays at 10/9 on ABC.
