We were lucky enough to interview Star Trek: Prodigy showrunners Kevin and Dan Hageman to chat about all the logistics that go into making the smartest children’s show on television. We talked about writing, collaborating with Nami Melumad on the music and orchestration for their show, and the question you ask every Star Trek fan you meet — who’s your Captain?
The second half of season one of the series premieres October 27, 2022, on Paramount+. I for one have been using my “Hold onto your butts” grab handles for months waiting to see what happens to our crew.
However, it’s perhaps a misnomer to label Star Trek: Prodigy a children’s show, as it’s a show that can be enjoyed equally by children and adults. This adult is so excited to see what’s next for our young crew. Take a look at my interview with Kevin and Dan Hageman to learn more.
Thanks very much to Kevin and Dan Hageman for their time and for their thoughtful responses. They were a real treat to interview. I hope we can compare notes again soon about the next season of Star Trek: Prodigy. I also want to give many thanks to the good folks at Paramount for organizing these interviews and inviting me to participate on behalf of Fangirlish.
Are you ready for the last half of season one of Star Trek: Prodigy? I know I am. What did you think of my interview with Kevin and Dan Hageman? Leave me a comment and let’s talk Trek.
