It doesn’t matter who you are, you most likely know the Pitch Perfect franchise. The franchise started way back in 2012, with Pitch Perfect and took us all by storm. At least among my friends, we started appreciating acapella for the art form that it is.
And now that Pitch Perfect is back in a new limited series, Bumper In Berlin.
In the new series for Peacock, several years after we last saw him in Pitch Perfect, Adam
Devine’s Bumper Allen moves to Germany to revive his music career when one of his songs
becomes big in Berlin.
We can’t imagine anyone better to bring the funny and the franchise to life in its newest form than Megan Amram. We’ve loved her writing on such shows as The Good Place, Parks & Recreation, and The Simpsons.
“With Bumper in Berlin, the other producers and I decided we wanted to expand the world of
Pitch Perfect into something recognizable yet unique. We wanted to keep what made the
movies special but create a new world that felt completely original. To take the elements of the
movies we know and love — the humor, the camaraderie, and the music — and make it
something sweet and absurd. Two beloved characters from the movies are joined by a whole
new cast of characters who hopefully inject a freshness and absurdity to the franchise the world
already adores.” Megan said previously in a statement.
We’re obsessed with the new series and were so pleased to talk with Megan about the show and the David Hasslehoff of it all.
One of the greatest things about the Pitch Perfect franchise is that it is truly timeless. This show is a great addition to the franchise.
Bumper in Berlin is streaming now on Peacock.
