When it comes to The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, I believe that their story will never be fully told. Even though they are telling it, for the sake of their children, there will be things that they never tell. Personally, I can respect that.
I do believe that they have every right to tell their story, the way they want to, however the want to. I can only imagine how the royal family will react to the documentary that Netflix is releasing, but in the same breathe, that’s none of our business. Harry and Meghan deserve to make the choices that are best for them.
While we all have a million opinions, we know that it will be all that we’re talking about for the next month. Why? Because Netflix has announced the release date for the six part documentary.
Part one, which consists of episodes one thru three, will be released on December 8th. Parts four thru six will premiere on December 15th.
The series will offer, “an unprecedented and in-depth documentary series, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex share the other side of their high-profile love story. Across six episodes, the series explores the clandestine days of their early courtship and the challenges that led to them feeling forced to step back from their full-time roles in the institution. With commentary from friends and family, most of whom have never spoken publicly before about what they witnessed, and historians who discuss the state of the British Commonwealth today and the royal family’s relationship with the press, the series does more than illuminate one couple’s love story, it paints a picture of our world and how we treat each other. From the critically-acclaimed, two-time Academy Award-nominated and Emmy-winning director Liz Garbus, Harry & Meghan is a never-before-seen look at one of the most-discussed couples in history.”
And judging by the trailer that Netflix released this morning, it is going to be deeply personal and explosive.
Will you be watching? We definitely will be.
