Harley Quinn needs her Poison Ivy in the DCEU. And if it was up to Margot Robbie, who plays the titular anti-hero first introduced in the 2016 Suicide Squad, she’d make that movie happen now. In an interview with Comicbook.com, she was asked about an Harlivy romance. It was a resounding yes for Robbie and something she’s been pushing for.
“I have been pushing for that for years. I cannot tell you how hard I’ve been pushing for that. I want it too,” Robbie said before continuing on who would play her other romantic half. “Honestly, when I pictured, I always picture like Poison Ivy in the comics. I don’t really actually picture an actress doing it, but I agree, that would be so good.”
But don’t you worry, if Robbie doesn’t have some actresses in mind, we do.
1. Jodie Comer
What they’re known for: Killing Eve
Why they’re the perfect pick: Jodie Comer would absolutely eat up the role of Pamela Isley. Her Villanelle was deliciously evil. And I think that she could translate that into this role and give us an iconic duo, unlike anything we’ve seen in DC. Also, imagine her and Harley flirting and doing crimes together? Swoon alert.

2. Olivia Swann
What they’re known for: Legends of Tomorrow
Why they’re the perfect pick: From her time on Legends of Tomorrow, Olivia Swann is the kind of talented actor that switches between badass and sincere with an ease that is believable. She also carries this presence when she enters a room that screams, “I know who I am and I will do whatever I have to to get my way.” And that’s definitely Poison Ivy vibes.

3. Keke Palmer
What they’re known for: Nope
Why they’re the perfect pick: Keke Palmer is the moment. Yes, I want her to play Rogue if the opportunity arises. But the thought of her playing Poison Ivy and making Harley swoon with a look…it’s too much! Also, I think she can go toe to toe with Robbie when it comes to her acting and the way she gave herself over to her inner anti-hero.

4. Emeraude Toubia
What they’re known for: Shadowhunters
Why they’re the perfect pick: There simply isn’t enough Emeraude Toubia on TV. And I think that if given the chance to take on this DC character she can be springboarded into this doctor’s poisonous world. Plus she’s proven herself to be an adept fighter and you know that Harley is going to need a baddie capable of handling herself and occasionally handing Harley her own ass. And she’d like it.

5. Nicole Kang
What they’re known for: Batwoman
Why they’re the perfect pick: Nicole Kang proved that she looks devilish in green and can handle everything that comes with being Poison Ivy. And we simply didn’t get enough. If Kang would return to this character, imagine the outfits? The banter? The teasing? It would turn the girlies crazy just like she did on Batwoman.
