I have had celebrities leave an impression on me, but none have left the impression that Jonathan Bennett has. I still check my ears at night and in the morning (thanks Jonathan) for ear wigs.
You’ll have to watch the interview do find out why.
Jonathan Bennett is a star who many people relate to Mean Girls, and yes, well he’s that. But on a personal level, I love him and how he is so blunt and hilarious. Bennett answers all questions like he’s your best friend, but also fully trained by a PR professional. And you have to appreciate that.
Bennett actually pitched the idea of The Holiday Sitter as a sort of modern day Uncle Buck. When we asked him though about Hallmark and it’s push for inclusivity, and how he’s been a driving force for that.
“There’s been no greater honor in my entire career than telling LGBTQ+ stories that matter at Hallmark Channel. Hands down,” Bennett told us.
He continued, “The Christmas House, The Christmas House 2, The Holiday Sitter, are the three things I am most proud of in my entire career that I’ve done. Even more than Mean Girls. Because I feel like these movies are making a difference.”
He’s right, the movies definitely are. We can only hope he realizes that he is also.
