While we can talk shit about Tom Cruise all day (and yes, we recognize that it’s talking shit just because we don’t like him), we won’t speak ill of the Top Gun franchise. We can appreciation great movies and there is nothing about the Top Gun franchise that we don’t love.
We can even stomach Tom Cruise.
But stepping off our soap box and putting the haterade down, we’ll get to the point. While Top Gun: Maverick had a lot of great scenes, one of our favorites – that beach football scene. Speaking as someone who really, really hates sports, even I could see the beauty in that scene.
And well, Paramount+ has seen just how much we all appreciated it to. The studio released a three hour long version (basically it’s the same scene on a loop) for us all to escape with.
As if that wasn’t great enough, the copy on the video was phenomenal.
“Some folks might prefer staring at a crackling fire for their yuletide celebrations, but if you’re the type who feels the need for speed, a loop of Top Gun: Maverick‘s sweaty beach football scene might be the holiday joy you’re looking for.” it reads.
The movie features such great actors as Miles Teller, Glen Powell, Greg Tarzan Davis, Jay Ellis, Monica Barbaro and Lewis Pullman. Yes, and there is Tom Cruise too.
