With us being obsessed with the new National Treasure: Edge of History show, as well as loving the movies, we just had to wonder – are we getting more movies?
While we loved the character of Riley making an appearance in the series, and it alluding to him and Ben planning something, we had to wonder are we getting a third movie in the franchise? We know, know – we’re lucky with the television show. But we’d argue that even though Riley appears on the show, they are different worlds.
While Nick Cage hasn’t commented on the possibility of a third movie, we’re okay with that. Someone else did.

The producer commented on the possibility of a third movie, while doing press for the new arm of the franchise, when speaking with E! News.
“We said we’d like to make another National Treasure and they said, ‘Sure, let’s come up with a new cast,’” he explained. “At the same time, we were developing National Treasure for the theaters with Nicolas Cage — which we still are. So, that’s ongoing.”
