We absolutely LOVE trailers. Yes, yes, a little dramatic, we know. But we do love them. They tell us what movies we should or should not see the movie. We have a theory – if the trailer doesn’t invoke some kind of positive emotion, we don’t need to see it.
When You Finish Saving The World is the directorial debut of Jesse Eisenberg. Now, the title is some passive aggressive shit that we woulda said to our parents when they ignored us, but it is a good title.
The movie is about, “A mother and her teenage son can’t seem to connect, yet they try to find that bond in other people. She latches on to a young boy she meets at her women’s shelter, while her son falls in love with an extremely political student at his school.”
When You Finish Saving The World premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2022 to critical acclaim. Starring Julianne Moore and Finn Wolfhard, we’re not surprised. But that being said, we normally would be shocked that it didn’t hit theaters shortly after and then again, we aren’t because pandemic box office is a thing.
When You Finish Saving the World is scheduled to be released in theaters on January 20, 2023.
