The say you never forget your first and while there are so many firsts in life, we think that one of the firsts that you never forget is your first interview. Celebrities will tell you that they are just like you and while we’re not saying that they’re not, it’s not the celebrity that is the scariest part. It’s the court of public opinion.
Well that and some celebrities are absolutely terrifying.
Kate Winslet has made me respect her more by putting a young interviewer at ease. First interviews are never easy and when a young interviewer told her it was her first interview, she made sure to put the interviewer at ease.

In the clip, the interviewer says, “It’s my first time.”
Not an easy thing to admit, because you never know how people are going to react.
“This is your first time doing it? Okay, well, guess what,” Winslet tells her. “When we do this interview, it’s going to be the most amazing interview ever. And do you know why? … Because we’ve decided that it is going to be.”
Just watching the clip, I wish that my first interview had one that way. Winslet continued, “So we’ve decided right now—me and you—this is going to be a really fantastic interview. And you can ask me anything that you want, and you don’t have to be scared. Everything is going to be amazing.”
Watching the clip you can see that Kate really wants to put the young girl at ease and is invested in making her interview one that puts the young girl at ease. One that leaves the young girl a good memory and encourages her.
“You got this. Okay, let’s do it!” Kate tells her one last time. And we’re sure she did a great job.
