There are a lot of stories that come out of Hollywood and some stories that you can only wish would die. Some that you would never tell. At least we would never tell.
Then again, what’s that old adage, never say never.
Reese Witherspoon has been making the rounds doing press for her upcoming romantic comedy, Your Place or Mine. The actress was on Jimmy Kimmel and talked about that one time where she did some damage to Denzel Washington’s Porsche.
Yes, you read that right.
See, when she was 17 she was an intern on a movie that Washington was working on, Devil in a Blue Dress, and had the job of parking cars. This included parking Denzel’s Porsche.
“Whenever Denzel came in, I had to park his Porsche. Which is not a good idea for a 17-year-old kid with a brand-new drivers license,” she stated. “Oh my God, I stripped all the gears, it was terrible.”
Stripping the gears? Ouch.
And though it’s a story that one shouldn’t tell (maybe) but she was okay too, because you see, Denzel has heard the story. He’s even talked to her about it before.
Witherspoon had seen him a few years ago, at a wedding, and he said to her, “‘I heard you tell this story about how you used to park my Porsche.’ And I was like, ‘Yes, I did.’ And he’s like, ‘But, did you know, your costumes for Water for Elephants, who took them in and out of your trailer?’ No, I have no idea. He’s like, ‘My daughter.’ ”
Well, that’s embarrassing.
What’s a story that you wouldn’t want someone to call you out for?
