No truer words have ever been spoken. Love is a complicate thing, one that brings both joy and pain. Even with the knowledge that happens, the fear of it needs to be face, because love is one of the greatest gifts that we are given.
And it’s also something that can hurt and tear you apart when it’s taken away – especially when someone you love, passes. Losing a person that you love is hard. It can make you feel alone. It can tear you apart. It can be all consuming.
Losing someone can make you afraid to move forward.
And hey, who wouldn’t want to have Celine Dion helping them? We would.
The movies synopsis reads, “What if a random text message led to the love of your life? In this romantic comedy, dealing with the loss of her fiancé, Mira Ray sends a series of romantic texts to his old cell phone number…not realizing the number was reassigned to Rob Burns’ new work phone. A journalist, Rob is captivated by the honesty in the beautifully confessional texts. When he’s assigned to write a profile of megastar Celine Dion (playing herself in her first film role), he enlists her help in figuring out how to meet Mira in person…and win her heart.”
The trailer had us both crying and laughing. We can appreciate that it does that. We have some fear that it will be one of those movies that everything good is in the trailer. We’re hoping we’re wrong.
Because honestly this looks like a movie we’d watch quite a few times.
Starring Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Sam Heughan and Celine Dion and featuring multiple new songs from Dion, Love Again, written for the screen and directed by Jim Strouse, is only in theaters May 12, 2023.
